HANOVER, N.H. – The team racing season continued this past weekend, as the Dartmouth sailing team raced in three regattas, including the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association's Open Team Race Championship at the Fowle Trophy.
The Big Green's weekend was highlighted by the Fowle Trophy, as Dartmouth sailed to a third-place overall finish thanks to a 14-7 record.
Through round one of sailing, Dartmouth was 8-3 overall, only falling to Harvard, Brown, and Coast Guard.
Round two of racing kicked off on Sunday, April 5, as the Big Green were part of the top eight. Dartmouth sailed to a 5-2 record, once again falling to Harvard and Brown.
In round three, Dartmouth alongside Harvard, Brown, and Roger Williams sailed to determine a winner. The Big Green went 1-2, beating Brown for the first time of the regatta but falling to the Crimson and the Hawks.
The Big Green's third place finish at the 2026 Fowle Trophy is Dartmouth's best NEISA Open Team Race Championship finish since 2022, when the Big Green also finished third.
Dartmouth also sailed at the Yale Women's Team Race and the Mystic Lake Team Race.
In Connecticut, the Big Green posted a 2-6 overall record, finishing fourth. Dartmouth defeated Hobart & William Smith in both rounds of racing.
At the Mystic Lake Team Race, Dartmouth went 4-10 overall, claiming seventh place. The Big Green defeated MIT in the first round for their lone win, before going 3-4 in the second round, earning wins over Bowdoin, MIT, and Tufts.
The Big Green will be back in action this weekend Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, competing in three regattas: the Central 4, the Thompson Team Race hosted by Connecticut College, and the Legler Trophy hosted by Tufts.
The Legler Trophy will act as the NEISA Women's Team Race Championship, as the Big Green look to build momentum off last weekend's podium finish. Live scoring and full results can be found
