COMMUNITY & INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE - NEW! Volunteer at the CCBA Afterschool Program: Carter Community Building Association (CCBA) is a nonprofit recreation and fitness organization in Lebanon, NH. They are looking for a group of student-athletes to come spend time with kids in a youth drop-in center after-school program for 3rd - 6th graders. If you are interested in volunteering please fill out this survey so that we can gauge interest and figure out a schedule. Volunteer at the Bugbee Senior Center: The Bugbee Senior Center is looking for some tech help (iPhone, One Drive) for the senior citizens. SPORT NUTRITION - Alcohol intake has an influence on your training and recovery. Hydration status, motor skills, strength and aerobic performance are all impacted. Some of the effects can last up to 3 days! If you choose to drink alcohol, aim to drink plenty of water and fuel with real food to help minimize the impact alcohol has on your body.
SPORTS MEDICINE - Opportunity to participate in a research study aimed at identifying physician qualities that are most important for athletes in the selection of team physicians. This study is being conducted at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. This study will consist of a survey that will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Participation is completely voluntary, and your answers will be anonymous as no members of the research team will have access to any personal identification information. A better night of sleep can improve an athlete's performance by fewer mistakes, fewer injuries, faster reaction times.
