HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's rowing will head to New York to race Cornell for the Parent's Plate on Cayuga Lake on Saturday. Brown will also be competing that day but will race the Big Red for the Dunn Bowl.
Â
The Parent's Plate was created in 2000 in recognition of the parents' support and is presented each year to the winner of the Dartmouth/Cornell regatta. Though first presented in 2000, the cup was made retroactive to 1998. Dartmouth leads in the series, 12-10.
Â
The last time the teams faced off against each other on April 28, 2019, the Big Green rowed away with the win after defeating the Big Red in the V8 by less than five seconds.
Â
The team fared well at the Big Ten Invitational in Florida last weekend, its trip being highlighted by a first-place finish in the 2V8 on the final day of competition.
Â
Next Sunday, Dartmouth will head to Worcester, Massachusetts for the Eastern Sprints.
