COMMUNITY & INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE - See you TONIGHT at the Celebration of Excellence! Monday, May 16th in Leede Arena. Doors open at 6:15pm for pictures & heavy hors d'oeuvres. Awards starts at 7pm! - Dartmouth Athletics has continued celebrating PRIDE by co-sponsoring the 21st Annual Stonewall Lecture by Kathryn Bond Stockton Thursday, May 19. The presentation is entitled, "I Was a Queer Child and So Were You: Kissing, Queer Children, and Structural Change" o 4:30-5:15pm Pre-lecture reception, Maffei Arts Plaza (Black Family Visual Arts Center). o 5:15-6:30pm Stonewall Lecture, Loew Auditorium. Introduction by Prof. Eng-Beng Lim. Livestream: dartgo.org/stonewall. Stockton will be available to sign free copies of Gender(s) (MIT Press, 2021). 30 copies will be given out, first come first served! - FORT X SAAC 3v3 Basketball Tournament Join FORT & SAAC on Sunday, May 22 from 4-6pm for a 3V3 Basketball Tournament in Leede Arena! FORT is a non-profit on campus committed to reducing the barriers to mental health resources for Dartmouth students. Create teams of 4 with at least one member of the opposite gender and max 1 varsity basketball player. - The Memorial Challenge – Sunday, May 29 at 3pm EST The Memorial Challenge is a fundraiser workout circuit which started in 2015 in memory of Blaine Steinberg '15 and Torin Tucker '15, who both passed away suddenly in the winter of 2014. Steinberg was a passionate athlete on the Dartmouth women's lacrosse team and in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Tucker was a standout on Dartmouth's Nordic skiing team and member of the Chi Heorot fraternity. The Memorial Challenge's purpose is to celebrate the Dartmouth and Upper Valley community by bringing as many members together to sweat for good. WHAT: Workout Circuit WHO: Everyone in the Upper Valley & Dartmouth Community (all fitness levels welcome) WHEN: Sunday, May 29 at 3PM EST WHERE: Memorial Field COST: $15 per person. All funds raised through registration will be donated to Live Like Blaine, Post 58 and Positive Tracks.
