A full list of Pride 2022 events can be found HERE - Volunteer with Special Olympics at the Hanover High School track: The Upper Valley Hawks local Special Olympics program is looking for student-athletes to help at track practices on Sundays from 3:00 to 4:30 at the Hanover High School track (10 min walk from campus) starting April 24th. - Adulting 101- 2022 Speaker Series is back! Open to any students interested in learning more about the topics covered but especially those '22s finishing up their time at Dartmouth and headed in the "real world." The first session, "Personal Financial Wellness – How to Prepare and Develop the Habits That Will Lead to a Happier and More Financially Secure Life" kicks off on Thursday, May 5th at 7:30pm in Foren 105 with Daniel Bryant '91 Baseball, Students can sign up HERE. Book a counseling or counseling & sport psychology appointment through the student health portal. - Counseling services are available for all enrolled students through the Dartmouth Counseling Center by calling (603) 646-9442 to set up an appointment. Attend this group if you struggle to manage intense emotions, have difficulty with impulsive behaviors or feel like you're struggling in your interpersonal relationships. The topics covered are Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. This group will be held on Fridays from 11:15am to 11:45am but start and stop times can be flexible for students coming and going to class. SPORT NUTRITION - Ideal body weight is not determined by a calculation or formula. It is a weight that you feel good at (strong, powerful, energetic, etc.) and one that you can maintain while training and fueling your body optimally, without having to overtrain or deprive yourself of fuel.
SPORTS MEDICINE - Opportunity to participate in a research study aimed at identifying physician qualities that are most important for athletes in the selection of team physicians. This study is being conducted at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. This study will consist of a survey that will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Participation is completely voluntary, and your answers will be anonymous as no members of the research team will have access to any personal identification information.
