BOSTON, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's track and field team had quite the day on Saturday at the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational at The Track at New Balance, breaking the program record in the 4x400m relay as well as winning nine individual events.
The group of
Nils Wildberg,
Liam Murray,
Mason Childers and
Karl-Oskar Pajus took first in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:13.70 to put themselves atop the Dartmouth record book. They are now atop the Ivy League leaderboard as well as inside the top 25 in the nation.
DJ Matusz took first in the 800m run, crossing the finish line in 1:51.81 which ties the third-best time in program history.
Myles Epstein claimed the top spot in the 60m dash with a time of 6.92.
Eric Gibson finished first in the 1000m run with a time of 2:25.47 while
Seth Weprin won the mile by two seconds, crossing the line at 4:11.91.
David Adams claimed another victory in the pole vault, this time with a mark of 4.95m. In the jumps, Wildberg won the long jump with a mark of 6.76m.
Rahul Batlanki grabbed the top spot in the triple jump, jumping 14.30m.
Over in the throws, the Big Green went 1-2-3 in the weight throw with
Ben Pable claiming first,
Michael Gabriel in second and
Colton McMaster in third. McMaster threw for a PR of 16.56m.
Max Klein finished first the shot put with a throw of 16.06m.
The Big Green put together three DMR groups and finished the race 1-2-3. The group of Gibson, Matusz,
Maclean Hadden and
Trey Cormier took the top spot with a time of 10:10.64.
Dartmouth is back in action next weekend at Leverone Field House for the DYC against Yale and Columbia.
