HANOVER, N.H. — David Adams broke the program record in the pole vault, helping the Dartmouth men's track and field to a win in the annual DYC against Yale and Columbia on Saturday at Leverone Field House.
Adams won the pole vault event with a mark of 5.13m, continuing his streak of winning the pole vault each of the three times he has competed early in his collegiate career.
The Big Green posted a score of 86 points on the day to take first, followed by Columbia (43) and Yale (41).
Myles Epstein won the 60m dash for the second straight meet, this time finishing in 6.92 seconds. Later in the meet, Epstein took second in the 200m dash with a time of 22.23.
Mason Childers finished first in the 500m run with a personal best time of 1:04.57.
Liam Murray ran a PR of 49.78 in the 400m race, good for third in the Ivy League.
DJ Matusz claimed first in the 1000m run with a PR of 2:27.17.
Albert Velikonja and
Eric Gibson finished first and second in the mile. Velikonja ran a personal best 4:09.30 while Gibson finished the race in 4:10.81. Velikonja's time is currently third in the Ivy League this season.
Karl-Oskar Pajus won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.87.
Ethan Hughes (9.06) took second followed by
Connor Luck (9.81) in third.
Nils Wildberg finished first in the long jump with a mark of 6.92m.
Rahul Batlanki took second with a jump of 6.87m.
Max Klein and
Colton McMaster finished second and third in the shot put. Klein threw a distance of 16.63m while McMaster threw for a PR of 16.21m.
Ben Pable took first in the weight throw with a personal best mark of 19.60m, the fifth-best mark in program history.
Dartmouth returns to The Track at New Balance on Saturday for the River Hawk Invitational.
