HANOVER, N.H. — Competing against Northeastern and UMass, the Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team earned three victories on the opening day of the Tate Ramsden Invitational.

Julianne Jones, who defeated Penn in the 200 IM in her last outing, won the event Friday evening with a time of 2:06.10.
Alyssa Palacios placed first in the 3-meter dive with an NCAA Zone-qualifying score of 280.45.
Christina Cianciolo, the lone senior who will be honored prior to the start of Saturday's action, won the 500 free at 5:04.48.

Following the opening day of the two-day event, the Big Green trail Northeastern, 57-36, and UMass, 49-44. Dartmouth swims the annual home meet in honor of Tate Ramsden '17, who passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2015. The meet has been named after Ramsden since the 2017-18 season.
