NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth men's hockey team scored in each period, including two power play goals in the second, to earn a 4-0 victory over Yale in ECAC Hockey and Ivy League action on Saturday evening at Ingalls Rink. The Big Green improve to 4-15-1, 3-9-1 while the Bulldogs drop to 3-12-4, 2-10-2.

Matt Hubbarde led the way for the Big Green with four points after scoring one goal and assisting on the other three.
Luke Haymes,
Joey Musa, and
Braiden Dorfman also scored for the Big Green.
John Fusco had two assists while
Tanner Palocsik,
Ryan Sorkin and Haymes each had one.
Cooper Black finished with 24 saves to earn his second shutout of the season.

Dartmouth put the pressure on early, getting four quick shots on goal as Yale drew an early penalty. Shortly after the Bulldogs killed off the penalty, Haymes scored his eighth goal of the season to put the Big Green up 1-0. Fusco played a perfect pass from left to right to Haymes for a quick rocket of a shot past Pearson into the back of the net.

The Big Green added two power play goals in the second period to extend the lead. Midway through the period, Dartmouth went on the power play after Yale's Ryan Conroy received a minor for tripping. The Big Green won the ensuing faceoff and wasted no time, scoring just seven seconds into the power play. Palocsik fired a shot towards goal that was tipped and redirected by Musa from just outside the crease into the net to give Dartmouth a 2-0 lead.

The second Big Green power play goal came just minutes later. Again, shortly into the power play, Dartmouth struck again, this time through Hubbarde. The Big Green utilized strong passing to open up the perfect opportunity for Hubbarde to smash it home, giving the Big Green their second straight game with two power play goals.

Yale nearly got on the board late in the second period. Henry Wagner forced a turnover in Yale' defensive zone and took the puck down towards the Dartmouth goal, but it was effort was stopped by Black.

The Big Green solidified the win in the final few minutes when Dorfman scored the team's fourth goal of the night. After forcing a turnover and creating a 3v1, Dartmouth quickly moved the puck, creating the open space for Dorfman to tap it in.

With the win tonight, the Big Green completed their first weekend sweep of the season as well as completing the season sweep over Yale, winning all three contests by a combined score of 14-3.

Dartmouth returns to Thompson Arena for the start of a seven-game homestand. The Big Green play host to Cornell and Colgate. Friday's contest against the Big Red is presented by The Richards Group. Saturday's game against the Raiders is presented by Cardigan Mountain School as well as the celebration for Bob Gaudet '81. Both games will be available to stream on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet.
