HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's track and field team won the annual DYC against Yale and Columbia for the ninth straight time, with this year's meet taking place in Hanover at Leverone Field House.
The Big Green posted 91 points to take the top spot. Columbia took second with 46 points followed by Yale with 44 points.
Jada Jones claimed first in the 60m dash with a time of 7.77 seconds. In the 200m race, the Big Green took second, third and fourth.
Bridget McNally finished second with a time of 25.85 followed by
Mariella Schweitzer (26.15) and
Shelby Richmond (26.46).
Michelle Quinn took first in the 400m race with personal best time of 57.43. Jones picked up her second win of the day after finishing first in the 500m race with a time of 1:15.78.
Annie Jackson ran a PR of 2:14.37 in the 800m run, claiming second.
Bella Pietrasiewicz and
Corinne Robitaille finished third and fourth in the 1000m run. Pietrasiewicz crossed the line at 2:52.95 while Robitaille ran a PR of 2:54.30.
Dartmouth claimed the top four spots in the mile.
Julia Fenerty led the way with a time of 4:45.11 followed by
Anya Hirschfeld (4:53.15),
Katherine Strong (4:54.29) and
Emily Levonas (4:59.53). Fenerty, Hirschfeld and Strong each set a new PR. Fenerty's time is good a top 10 spot in program history as well currently 17
th in the NCAA this season.
Natalie Shapiro finished first in the 3000m race with a time of 9:54.65. Shapiro is now fifth in the Ivy League.
In the relays, the group of Quinn, Schweitzer,
Jaidyn Curry and Jones took second in the 4x400m race. In the 4x800m relay, the team of Jackson, Fenerty, Pietrasiewicz and
Andie Murray finished first with a time of 9:03.92. The 4x800m group now has the fastest time in the Ivy League.
McNally and
Emma Cunningham took first and second in the long jump. McNally jumped 5.82m while Cunningham jumped a PR of 5.80m. McNally now holds the second-best mark in program history and Cunningham has the third best. Cunningham also finished first in the triple jump with a mark of 12.02m.
Over in the throws,
Julia Reglewski grabbed first in both the shot put and weight throw events. In shot put, Reglewski threw 14.47m and set a new personal best mark of 15.98m in the weight throw.
Olivia O'Connor took second in the weight throw with a mark of 15.75m.
Dartmouth returns to The Track at New Balance on Friday for the River Hawk Invitational.
