HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth sailing team took part in a pair of events this weekend, highlighted by finishing third out of 18 teams at the Atlantic Coast Open Championship Finals, hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland.
Dartmouth finished third in the "B" division and fifth in the "A" division. The "A" division team of
Boyd Bragg,
Yumi Yoshiyasu and
James Paul captured a pair of first-place finishes (out of 14 races) while coming in second twice as well, with four other top-five finishes. The "B" division team of
Maddie Hawkins,
Ryan Satterberg,
Reese Bragg,
Elise Donovan and Paul finished first once and second twice, along with two other top-five finishes.
The Big Green's third-place finish overall only trailed Harvard and Crimson and was ahead of Ivy League foe Yale in sixth.
Meanwhile, Dartmouth was also represented at the Yale Women's Regatta, finishing eighth out of 18 teams. The team of
Sarah Young,
Madeline Koelbel and
Alexandra Pierce came in fourth in the "B" division, ahead of Ivy League foes Brown and Penn. Out of 12 races, the Big Green finished first three times and second twice.
Dartmouth's "A" division team of
Bella Casaretto,
Taylor Eastman,
Faye Benjamin,
Phoebe Lee and Pierce came in eighth and had three top-five finishes.
