OXFORD, OHIO — Competing against a wide range of opponents, including Indiana State, Ashland, Grand Canyon, Miami (Ohio), Youngstown State, Denison, Indiana and Anderson, the Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team opened the Miami Invitational on Thursday.

Following Thursday's action, Dartmouth ranks second with 232.5 points, trailing only host Miami with 318.

Julianne Jones highlighted the opening day with her victory in the 200 IM A final, swimming a 2:01.90 and lowering her time that already ranked second in program history.
Carinn Bethea was another key contributor for the Big Green, placing second in the 500 free with a time of 4:50.59.

Dartmouth put three swimmers (
Samantha Li,
Lane Murray and
Jamieson Legh) in the A final of the 50 free and Li led the way with a fifth-place finish (23.46).

Maggie Lambdin had a solid showing on the 3-meter board, placing third with a final score of 273.60.

The Miami Invitational continues on Friday for the second day of action before concluding on Saturday.
