OXFORD, Ohio — The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team improved its positioning in the Miami Invitational, thanks in part to a relay victory, on Friday for the second day of the three-day event.

The Big Green leapfrogged host Miami (Ohio) in the team rankings and now hold second place with 621 points. Grand Canyon is first with 772 points.

Dartmouth earned a victory in the 800 free relay thanks to
Yan Dvoretskiy,
Colton Rasmussen,
Tim Park and
Isaac Weigel. The team finished with a time of 6:34.23, the fifth-best in program history, to narrowly edge Grand Canyon (6:34.67).

Not only did Rasmussen assist in the relay win, he also placed second in the 200 free with a time of 1:38.48. Weigel, another member of the relay team, was fourth in the same event (1:39.02).

Tommy Erwin, who had a victory to his credit on Thursday, was fourth in the 400 IM at 4:01.60.

Everett Tai turned in a good performance on the 3-meter board, placing second with a score of 322.80.
