HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's swimming team is set to compete in the 2023 Ivy League Championships beginning Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool.
The Big Green are coming off a loss to Columbia, which saw
Julianne Jones earn first-place finishes in the 200 back (2:03.59) and the 100 IM (59.67). Jones previously set a pool record in the 200 breast on the final day of the Tate Ramsden Invitational, which Dartmouth hosted Jan. 20-21, with a time of 2:16.60 – the third-fastest in program history. The freshman also picked up victories in the 200 back, 400 IM and the 200 IM over UMass and Northeastern during the two-day meet. Jones gave Dartmouth a win over Penn in the 200 IM a week prior, as did junior
Zoe Moon in the 200 back.
Dartmouth's lone senior
Christina Cianciolo was another key contributor during the Tate Ramsden Invitational who looks to make waves during the championships. She won the 1650 free (17:25.78) and the 500 free (5:04).
Freshman
Lindsey Drumm was one of several swimmers to have a strong showing at the Miami Invitational, cracking the program's all-time top-10 in the 100 fly with a time of 55.69 seconds. She was also a member of the 200 and 400 medley relay teams, which also registered top-10 times.
Dartmouth placed seventh in last year's Ivy League Championships held at Harvard, besting Cornel with 563 total points.
