HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's track and field team closed out the weekend with numerous top five finishes on the second and final day of the 2023 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships at Leverone Field House.

Liam Murray earned a spot on the podium after finishing fourth in the 400m race with a time of 48.38 seconds.

Ben Pable,
Michael Gabriel, and
Jake Dalton took fourth, fifth, and sixth in the weight throw. Pable threw for a distance 19.55m. Gabriel had a personal best mark of 19.46m and Dalton threw for a PR of 19.25m.

DJ Matusz,
Maclean Hadden,
Eric Gibson all finished in the top five in the 1000m run. Matusz led the way by finishing third with a time of 2:26.08. Hadden was right behind, crossing the finish line less than a second later to take fourth. Gibson rounded it out for the Big Green as he took fifth in the event.

The distance medley relay (DMR) squad of
Seth Weprin,
Julien Hinz,
Isaac Weber, and
Albert Velikonja claimed third with a time of 9:56.61.

In the 4x800m relay, the group of Gibson, Hadden,
Jacob Winslow, and Matusz grabbed fifth with a time of 7:34.81.

Karl-Oskar Pajus finished third in the heptathlon with 5260 points. Pajus cruised to victory in the 1000m race portion of the heptathlon, crossing the finish line at 2:36.47. He finished 19 seconds ahead of the second-place runner.
Ethan Hughes finished in second in the pole vault portion of the heptathlon, clearing 4.48m.
