CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Jake Dalton of the Dartmouth men's track and field team broke the program record for the hammer throw on Saturday at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational at the University of Miami. Dalton threw for a new PR of 64.78m, claiming second in the event.

J'Voughnn Blake and
Rahul Batlanki finished first in their respective events. Blake cruised to a win in the 800m dash, finishing with a personal best time of 1:48.42, a full two seconds faster than the second-place finisher. That time puts Blake in the top 10 in program history for the event. Batlanki jumped to a win in the triple jump with a new personal best mark of 14.72m.

The Big Green excelled in the throws on Saturday.
Ben Pable and
Michael Gabriel took third and fourth in the hammer throw. Pable threw for a PR of 58.49m and Gabriel threw it a distance of 55.78m.

Colton McMaster took third in the discus throw after throwing for a personal best mark of 47.95m while
Yomi Babalola finished fifth with a throw of 45.92m.
Max Klein claimed fourth in shot put after throwing it 16.97m. McMaster took sixth in the event with a throw of 14.76m.

David Adams finished third in the pole vault after clearing 5.05m, which puts him second in program history for the outdoor event.

Myles Epstein finished 11
th in the 200m dash with a time of 21.92 seconds.

Ethan Hughes claimed fifth in the long jump with a jump of 6.84m.

The Big Green also wrapped up its time at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday with two student-athletes competing in the 800m race.
DJ Matusz finished the event with a time of 1:54.02 while
Isaac Weber grabbed a new PR with a time of 1:54.24.
