HANOVER, N.H. — With non-conference action behind them, the Dartmouth women's tennis team visits Harvard on Saturday, April 1 for the first Ivy League match of the season. The Big Green are looking for their first win over the Crimson since 2016.
The season started on a high note as Dartmouth upended St. John's, 5-2, at home to avenge last year's early-season 6-1 loss. A dominant win over Merrimack preceded losses to Boston College and Maryland leading into the ECAC Championship, which was held at Alexis Boss Tennis Center. The Big Green challenged three-time defending Ivy League champion Princeton in a match that came down to the final point in the opening day's 4-3 decision. A 4-1 win over Cornell furthered Dartmouth's momentum, but a five-match losing streak, including tough tests like a road date with No. 42 USC, persisted until the end of the team's California trip. A 6-1 neutral site win over Arkansas Tech marked the end of non-conference action.
