Chidimma Okpara and
Ashley Hess of the Dartmouth women's tennis team both received Ivy League postseason honors, per the conference's release on Thursday afternoon. Okpara was named Second Team All-Ivy Singles for a second straight season, while Hess landed on the Academic All-Ivy Team.
Okpara, a native of Bronxville, New York, played No. 1 singles for the duration of her senior campaign and picked up five wins during the 2023 season, including a recent clutch performance that lifted the Big Green over Penn, 4-3, in the season finale.
Hess, a government and economics major, was named to the Academic All-Ivy Team, which recognizes student-athletes who made significant contributions to their teams while maintaining good academic standing. The Cedar Grove, New Jersey native played No. 1 doubles alongside Okpara throughout the Ivy League season and competed at No. 2 singles, earning six wins in 2023.
