HANOVER, N.H. — Rising seniors
Ameliija Swaffer-Selff and
Lexi Dewire will serve as captains for the Dartmouth women's tennis team throughout the 2023-24 season, announced by
Bob Dallis, Dartmouth's Marge & Ron Boss '61 Family Head Coach.
Both assume leadership duties for the first time after
Emily Zhou and
Ashley Hess served as co-captains during the 2022-23 season.
One of two international players on the 2022-23 roster, Swaffer-Selff hails from Moura, Australia and appeared in two matches during the spring campaign and picked up a victory at No. 6 singles to help lead Dartmouth to an early-season win over Merrimack.
Dewire, a native of Hingham, Massachusetts, was one of the team's four College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees and was instrumental in the Big Green's season finale triumph over Penn, earning a win at No. 6 singles. She also posted a 9-5 doubles record, having played mainly at the No. 3 position.
