HANOVER, N.H. —
Bob Dallis, Dartmouth's Marge & Ron Boss '61 Family Head Coach of Women's Tennis, has announced the Big Green's 2023-24 schedule. The fall slate kicks off on Friday, Sept. 17 and the spring season begins Saturday, Jan. 20 as Dartmouth hosts Army West Point.
For a second straight year, the Big Green open the fall in Newport, Rhode Island at the ITHF Women's Collegiate Invitational, a doubles tournament held at the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Dartmouth returns home to host the Fall Foliage Fest, which begins on Friday, Sept. 29 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 1. A trip to the Brown Invitational on the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 14 is sandwiched between the ITA Regionals (Oct. 6-8 at Harvard) and the Super Regionals (Oct. 20-23 at Army West Point). The Big Green Invitational, the second Dartmouth-hosted event, closes the fall calendar, taking place from Friday, Nov. 3 until Sunday, Nov. 5.
The Big Green host each of their first four dual matches as Army West Point (Saturday, Jan. 20), Boston University (Saturday, Jan. 27), Boston College (Friday, Feb. 2) and Michigan State (Sunday, Feb. 4) each visit Boss Tennis Center for non-conference action. The ECAC Championship, hosted by Harvard, begins on Friday, Feb. 9 and wraps up on Sunday, Feb. 11. The road stretch continues with matches at Maryland (Saturday, Feb. 24) and Navy (Sunday, Feb. 25), and UMass represents the Big Green's final non-conference home date on Saturday, March 2.
A trip to UC Irvine on Friday, March 15 opens a four-match California slate. The Big Green battle Pomona-Pitzer the following day in La Jolla and road matches against Loyola Marymount (Wednesday, March 20) and Long Beach State (Thursday, March 21) are preludes to the start of Ivy League play.
Conference action begins Friday, April 5 at Brown and continues with a three-match homestand for the Big Green as Yale (Sunday, April 7), Columbia (Saturday, April 13) and Cornell (Sunday, April 14) each visit Hanover. A visit to defending Ivy League champion Princeton on Saturday, April 20 and Penn the following day are the final road dates. The regular season concludes on Saturday, April 27 as Dartmouth hosts Harvard.
