TWO GAMES IN FOUR DAYS
Dartmouth returns to Burnham Field for a matchup against the Colgate Raiders on Thursday evening before traveling to Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon to play against Merrimack.
LOOKING BACK TO OPENING WEEKEND
The
Taylor Schram era got underway last weekend as the Big Green opened the 2023 season at home against Eastern Michigan.
Daisy Granholm and
Carly Retterer each tallied a goal for Dartmouth in the 2-2 draw.
The Big Green made the trip to Hamden, Connecticut on Sunday to take on Quinnipiac, the defending MAAC champion. Granholm scored a penalty kick in the first half while
Emily Hardy recorded a six-save shutout to lead Dartmouth to a 1-0 victory for the first win of the season, earning Schram her first win as a collegiate head coach.
SCOUTING COLGATE
Colgate comes to Hanover with a 1-2-1 overall record. The Raiders have dropped their previous two contests, falling to St. John's (3-0) and Buffalo (1-0).
Ari Bezanson and Ana Schremp both have two goals for the Raiders. Cara Schmidlein leads the team in assists with two.
Alli Popham has played every minute in goal for Colgate through the first four games, making 11 saves with a save percentage of .688.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE RAIDERS
The Raiders lead the all-time series over the Big Green, 4-2. Colgate won the last matchup between the two teams, 2-1 in double overtime, back during the 2011 season.
Dartmouth is searching for its first win in the series since a 3-0 victory in 1999.
SCOUTING MERRIMACK
Merrimack is currently 1-2 for the year and will take on Maine Thursday afternoon on home turf. After starting the season 1-0 with a win over UMass Lowell, the Warriors have dropped their last two games, falling to Vermont (4-1) and Stony Brook (2-1).
Ella Cormier leads Merrimack in goals with two while Isabella Keogh and Molly Murnane each have one. Emily McCabe has a team-high two assists.
Lily Morgan has started all three games in goal this season, making 15 saves with a save percentage of .682.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE WARRIORS
Dartmouth boasts a 5-0 all-time record against Merrimack. The Big Green won the matchup between the two sides last season, claiming a 3-2 victory at Burnham Field.
Aleena Seales scored for the Big Green early in the second half before
Allie Winstanley '23 scored twice in the final 13 minutes to bring Dartmouth from 2-1 down to a 3-2 win.
