NEWPORT, R.I. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team saw a promising start to the ITHF Women's Collegiate Invitational, an annual grass-court doubles tournament held at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island.
The Big Green, who began their fall season on Friday afternoon were 4-1 against a field that includes Brown, George Washington, Georgetown, Rutgers, Providence and Rhode Island.

Friday marked the debuts of freshmen Capuano, Moore and Lemcke. Fahrmeier returned to the court after being sidelined for the entirety of the 2023 season.
The tournament continues on Saturday and runs through Sunday. The Big Green are set to host the Fall Foliage Fest, the first of two home fall events, beginning Friday, Sept. 29.
