NEWPORT, R.I. —
Michela Moore and
Lexi Dewire came up just short in the championship match on Sunday, the final day of the ITHF Women's Collegiate Invitational in Newport, Rhode Island.
Moore and Dewire were unbeaten through three matches, including two wins on Saturday, setting up a meeting with Brown's Phoebe Peus and Lindsey Hofflander in the championship.
Elizabeth Fahrmeier and
Katie Weber won the third-place match, defeating Georgetown's McHaley Ho and Chloe Bendetti.
Peyton Capuano and
Brooke Hess placed fifth with their win over Brown's Addison Ahlstrom and Olivia Mariotti, and the
Caroline Lemcke/
Ameliija Swaffer-Selff pairing secured seventh by defeating Madison Lee and Victoria Sasinka of George Washington.
Valentina Cruz and
Ujvala Jupalli, who won both matches on Saturday, rounded out the Big Green's results with a victory over Providence's Lauren Carson and Camila Barrera Aguirre.
Dartmouth returns home on Friday, Sept. 29 to host the Fall Foliage Fest, the first of two fall home events.
