CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Dartmouth women's tennis continued the ITA New England Regional tournament on Friday.
Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore each drew into the main singles draw. Capuano opened the day with a matchup against Gabriella Soliman of Brown. Capuano won the first set 6-3 and then secured the win with a 6-1 win in the second set. She will face Shyla Aggarwal of Yale in the round of 64.
Moore also advanced to the round of 64 with a straight set win. She defeated Daniella Benabraham of Brown 6-2, 6-4. In the next round she will take on Shiori Ito of Syracuse.
The duo of Capuano and Moore continued their winning ways in doubles. The duo downed a team from Le Moyne 8-0 to move on to face a team from UConn in the round of 32.
Lexi Dewire and Elizabeth Fahrmeier punched their tickets to the round of 32 in doubles with an 8-3 win over a team from Brown. The duo faces a team from Boston University in the round of 32.
Elise Wong and Caroline Lemcke fell in their opening doubles match to a team from Boston College.
Sam Grosjean and Lauren Han dropped a back and forth match to a duo from Rhode Island. Grosjean and Han fell 8-5.
Capuano, Moore, Dewire, and Fahrmeier are back in action on Saturday as they look to advance in the tournament.
