PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The Dartmouth women's tennis team closed out the Brown Invite on Sunday as the Big Green took on Boston University.
The Big Green swept doubles to open the day as Lexi Dewire and Elizabeth Fahrmeier won the top doubles match in dominate fashion 6-1.
In second doubles, Lauren Han and Sam Grosjean played in the second doubles position and also dominated winning 6-1 over the Terriers.
Valentina Cruz and Elise Wong secured the doubles sweep in the third doubles position. The back and forth match end with the Big Green winning 7-5 to win all three doubles matches.
Grosjean was slotted in the top singles position and notched her second win of the day in three sets. She dropped the first set 6-4 but responded with a 7-5 win in the second half. She took the third and final set to secure a three-set comeback win.
Cruz played in the sixth singles position and notched the other singles win for the Big Green. Cruz won the first set 6-3 but dropped the second set 6-3. In the tiebreaker set she dominated 10-1 for her second win of the day.
The Big Green are back in action on Friday, Oct. 25 as the Ivy League Individual Tournament starts in Philadelphia. The tournament runs until Monday, Oct. 28.
