PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—The Dartmouth women's tennis played in the second day of the Ivy League Tournament on Saturday with a pair of doubles teams in action and one singles player alive in the singles tournament.
The duo of Lexi Dewire and Elizabeth Fahrmeier notched the lone Big Green win of the day as they advanced to the doubles semifinals. They defeated a team from Brown 8-4 on Saturday to advance in the tournament. They take on a duo from Cornell on Sunday as they look to advance into the championship on Monday.
Elise Wong and Sam Grosjean fell in quarterfinals of doubles by a score of 8-3 to team from Yale.
Grosjean saw her run in the singles tournament come to an end on Saturday as she dropped a back and forth three set match to a player from Yale. Grosjean fell 6-3 in the first set but responded with a 6-3 win in the second set. She ultimately fell 6-2 in the third set.
The duo of Dewire and Fahrmeier look to punch their ticket to the final on Sunday.
