Bethlehem, Pa.—The Dartmouth men's cross country traveled south the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. hosted by Lehigh. The Big Green finished 17th in the men's college gold race.
Maclean Hadden led the way for the Big Green as he placed 49th overall with a time of 24:21.2. Senior Ben Williams finished 70th overall as was less than 14 seconds behind Madden.
First Year Connor Foley crossed third for the Big Green with a 149th place finished. Ashton Bange and Bake Pashea closed out scoring for the Big Green with 151st and 153rd finishes respectively.
Interim Cross Country/Distance Coach Ben True was very impressed with his team's performance on Saturday. "As a team, the men exceeded expectations today, running well in a deep field for their first big meet of the season."
"We all look towards our next major race in two weeks at Princeton as the season progresses to the larger meets of the season."
Evan Bork, Max Miller, David Jiang and Eric Stankey also competed for the Big Green.
Dartmouth returns to the course on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the NEICAAA in Hopkinton, N.H.
