HANOVER, N.H. – Kauany Gutz notched 14 kills for the Big Green as the Dartmouth College women's volleyball team defeated Columbia 3-0 for their first Ivy win from Leede Arena Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SET ONE:
- The set began even with Dartmouth holding a slight lead throughout.
- The last three points of the set went to the Big Green courtesy of a kill from Emma Symon and two Columbia errors, 25-18 Dartmouth.
SET TWO:
- Columbia jumped out to a 7-3 lead, but the Big Green fought back and took a 10-9 lead off two kills from Maddie LaFata and aces from Gutz, Molly Power and Tasman Mullins.
- Dartmouth had four unanswered to give the Big Green a 14-10 lead, but Columbia fired back with four of their own, 14-14.
- A kill and a massive block by Power and Ava Roberts brought the score to set point and a Gutz kill ended the set in Dartmouth's favor, 25-22.
SET THREE:
- Â Dartmouth outscored Columbia 6-2 to start the set, forcing an early Lions timeout.
- The Big Green gained a 19-13 lead on the Lions and didn't look back. A Gutz ace, a power kill and a LaFata kill completed the set, 25-17.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Gutz led the way with 14 kills for the Big Green with a team leading 16 points.
- Emma Engstrom had 18 digs.
- Dartmouth had a total of eight aces. Â
