Braceras Named Academic All-Ivy
PRINCETON, N.J.—The Ivy League announced its All-Ivy teams and Academic All-Ivy honorees for field hockey on Wednesday afternoon. Dartmouth defender Olivia Galiotos has earned Second Team honors, Lucia Campaño was an honorable mention while Gabriela Braceras was Dartmouth's academic All-Ivy nominee.
Galiotos earns All-Ivy honors for the third time in her career after being named an honorable mention in both 2022 and 2023. The junior captain played and started in all 16 games this season while tallying a goal and two assists along with a career high 11 shots on goal. The Virginia Beach, Va. native has made 48 starts in her three-year career, playing 2,815 minutes.
Campaño earns her second All-Ivy honor in as many years as she was named to the All-Ivy Second Team in 2023 as a first year. In 2024, she started in all 16 games while scoring four goals. Against Bryant on Sept. 29, she scored the game winning goal in overtime while also assisting on the game tying goal late in the fourth quarter. Through two seasons, the Buenos Aires, Argentina native has played in 31 games with 24 starts, she has netted 12 goals over the last two seasons.
Braceras is a three time member of the NFHCA Division I National Academic squad, the Concord, Mass. native started in all 16 games this season for the Big Green. As a senior she scored one goal while adding a career high six assists. She appeared in 60 games in her four-season career while making 36 starts. She finishes her career with two goals and nine assists. In the spring, she will graduate with a degree in economics and a minor in psychology.
