HANOVER, N.H. – Shot put throws from
Autumn Clark and
Max Klein highlighted the home opener of the Dartmouth Indoor Track and Field season at the Dartmouth December Invite this weekend in Leverone.
"Overall, I was very pleased with how the meet went this weekend," said Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country
Mike Nelson. "We had some solid performances from each event area with multiple top ten all-time marks. The last few weeks have been great for training and team building. The Big Green track & field program is heading into 2025 on a positive note!"
Clark threw 14.56m in the women's shot put to place first and make her throw the fourth best in Dartmouth history in the event. Klein also won his shot put event by throwing 18.08m which lands him second all-time in the men's event.
Mariella Schweitzer won the women's long jump recording a distance of 5.85m. The distance ties for third on the Dartmouth all-time list. On the running side, Schweitzer ran a 7.75 in the 60m. She took first in the event and now sits ninth on the all-time list for the women's 60m.
Bryce Thomas placed first in the 60m and
DJ Matusz won the 800m for the Big Green.
Colton McMaster took first in the men's weight throw after a throw of 19.61m. The men's 4x400 relay of
Winston Morgan,
Adrien Jacobs,
Bryce Thomas and
Mason Childers ran to a first place finish. The men's heptathlon was won by Dartmouth's
Jack Intihar with a score of 4964.
Danielle Johnson came in first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.21 while
Megan Judd took first in the high jump with a mark of 1.69m.
