HANOVER, N.H. — The 12th ranked Dartmouth men's squash team returned to action on Wednesday for a battle against rival No. 5 Harvard, but it was the Crimson who came out victorious 8-1 at the Berry Squash Courts. Three of the Big Green's losses were tight 3-2 finals. Dartmouth's victory was from
Felix Feldman, who won 3-2 in a matchup that took over an hour to complete.
Feldman won the first game 11-8 before dropping the second and third — 11-5 and 14-12 — then coming back to capture the fourth and fifth games, 11-5 and 11-8, respectively.
One of the Big Green's 3-2 defeats was at No. 1 as senior
Mac Aube lost the first two games before coming back to win games 3 and 4, 11-8 and 11-9. Harvard's David Costales captured the fifth and deciding game, though, 12-10.
At No. 5, sophomore
Callan Venkatesan was leading 2-1 after two games at No. 5, but dropped slim 11-9 scores in the fourth and fifth games. At No. 6, first-year
Brandon Wang was up 2-0 after two games before dropping games 3 through 5.
The Big Green continue a busy week on Friday when they host Amherst at 3:30 p.m.
