WEEKEND SWEEP
The Big Green had its first road weekend sweep of the season this past weekend, picking up victories over Rensselaer (5-1) and Union (5-4) to earn six points in the ECAC Hockey standings.
Cooper Flinton found the back of the net twice in the win over the Engineers while
Tucker McRae,
Luke Haymes and
Eric Charpentier each netted a goal for the Big Green. Dartmouth scored twice on the power play along with an empty net goal in the final few minutes.
Cooper Black made 26 saves in goal, earning his eighth win of the year.
The Big Green battled it out with the Garnet Chargers the following night with Haymes scoring twice and
Braiden Dorfman,
Sean Chisholm and
CJ Foley each scoring as well. Chsiholm's goal came on the power play while Foley's goal was an unassisted, short-handed goal, putting Dartmouth back in the lead.
WEEKLY AWARDS
Foley was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week after his two-point performance this past weekend in the victories over Rensselaer and Union. It's the second time this season that Foley has won an ECAC Hockey weekly award, having been named the Defender of the Week back on Nov. 6.
SCOUTING BROWN
Brown comes into Friday's matchup with an 8-17-2 overall record and a 6-13-1 record in league play. The Bears were swept last weekend in their last outing, falling to No. 7 Quinnipiac (5-2) and Princeton (5-1).
Ryan St. Louis leads Brown in points (23) and goals (12) and is tied for second in assists with 11. Ryan Bottrill has a team-high 15 assists. Joining Bottrill and St. Louis in double-digit assists are Tyler Kopff, Ethan Mistry and Max Scott.
Lawton Zacher has played 23 games in goal for the Bears this season, making 574 saves to go with a .908 save percentage and a 2.85 goals against average.
The Big Green are 86-72-9 all-time against the Bears with a 46-31-3 record on home ice. Brown earned a 2-1 victory over Dartmouth when the two teams met in mid-January at the Meehan Auditorium.
SCOUTING YALE
Yale enters the weekend with a 10-15-2, 7-11-2 record. The Bulldogs played just one game this past weekend, falling to Princeton by a score of 4-1 on Friday evening.
David Chen leads the Bulldogs in points (18), goals (9) and is tied for first in assists (9). Ryan Conroy is tied with Chen for the team lead in assists while William Dineen and Briggs Gammill have each netted seven goals this season.
Jack Stark and Nathan Reid have both played in more than 10 games between the pipes this season for Yale. They have combined to make 680 saves and have posted a .898 save percentage and a 2.83 goals against average.
The Big Green are 101-117-15 all-time against the Bulldogs. Yale claimed a 5-0 win over Dartmouth in mid-January at Ingalls Rink in the first meeting between the two teams this season.
HOME ICE IN PLAYOFFS
With the 5-4 victory over Union last weekend, the Big Green clinched a top-8 spot in the conference tournament, guaranteeing at least one playoff game at Thompson Arena. A top-4 spot is up for grabs however, as two regulations wins this weekend seals a bye in the opening round.
Other results going in the Big Green's favor could lead to a top-4 spot regardless. Either way, playoff hockey is coming back to Thompson for the first time since the 2019-20 season.

Both games will be available to stream nationally on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet.

WHAT'S AHEAD
