HANOVER, N.H. – Cooper Flinton scored twice on Friday evening as the Dartmouth men's ice hockey team picked up a 5-3 victory over Brown in ECAC Hockey and Ivy League action at Thompson Arena.
Luke Haymes and
John Fusco both finished with one goal and one assist while
Eric Charpentier also had two points after registering two assists.

Dartmouth improves to 10-9-9, 8-6-7 while Brown drops to 8-18-2, 6-14-1.

The Big Green jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the course of the first two periods. Fusco opened the scoring late in the first period when his shot from the blue line went through traffic and found its way into the back of the net.

Flinton scored his first goal of the night midway through the second period on the power play. Fusco passed the puck to Haymes, who quickly passed it towards the backside for Flinton to smash into the net for his 13
th goal of the year.
Braiden Dorfman added to the lead minutes later.
Owen Desilets, from behind the Dartmouth net, made a long distance pass up the ice to Dorfman, who was through on goal and buried his shot and tucked it inside the left post for his sixth goal of the season.

Brown cut into the Dartmouth lead early in the final frame, scoring two goals just 22 seconds apart to make it a one-goal game.

Flinton gave the Big Green a two-goal cushion at the 8:37 mark of the third period. Charpentier made a long pass to Flinton, who skated towards goal and fired a shot to the top left corner of the net past Brown goaltender Tyler Shea for his second goal of the night.

After the Bears scored a goal midway through the third, Haymes scored an empty-net goal with 1:30 remaining to give the Big Green the much-needed insurance goal to earn its third-straight victory.

Cooper Black made 26 saves, including 12 in the final frame, and earned his 10
th win of the season.

Dartmouth is back in action tomorrow evening to take on Yale in the regular season finale. The Big Green will honor the program's three seniors prior to the start of the game. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the contest will be available to stream on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet. Tickets are available for purchase through the Dartmouth Athletics ticket office.
