CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Facing a 4-1 deficit in the second period, the Dartmouth men's ice hockey team scored three unanswered goals to tie the game going into the third. After Harvard took another lead,
Sean Chisholm scored late in the third to tie the game once again. The contest finished even at 5-5, earning both teams a point. The Crimson won the seven-round shootout, 2-1, to take the extra point in the standings.
Dartmouth moves to 6-9-8, 4-6-6 while Harvard now sits at 4-14-4, 4-8-4.

The Big Green opened the scoring just over two minutes into the contest when
Cam MacDonald scored on the power play for his first goal of the season.
Cooper Flinton's shot from close range was saved but MacDonald followed up on the rebound, smashing it home to put Dartmouth in front.
Minutes later, Harvard scored its first of four-straight goals, culminating in a three-goal lead early in the second period.
Dartmouth started to chip away at the deficit when
Luke Haymes continued his good form as of late, scoring on the power play for his 12
th goal of the season.
Nikita Nikora tallied his fourth goal of the season at the 16:17 mark of the second period to cut the Crimson lead down to one.
With under a minute remaining in the middle frame, MacDonald scored his second of the night to tie the game, 4-4.
Nate Morgan passed it forward to
Tucker McRae, who made the no-look, back-handed pass across the front of goal to MacDonald for the wide-open tap-in.
Harvard regained the lead early in the third, but the Big Green responded once again.
Sean Chisholm scored his fourth goal of the year late in the period to tie the game, 5-5, sending it to overtime.
The Big Green had the best chance out of the two teams during the extra five minutes of play.
Cooper Flinton took a shot midway through overtime that rang off the pipe.
Roan Clarke made his fourth appearance of the season, coming in during the second period. Clarke made 13 stops on the night, including 10 in the third period. He also saved five shots in the shootout.
Cashman finished by saying, "It's a big point, we'll take it. Tons to learn from and we'll be excited to get back to practice on Monday to get ready for the last six games of the [regular] season."
Dartmouth returns to Thompson Arena next weekend to take on Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Friday's game against the Golden Knights is Go Green Night presented by Casella while Saturday's game against the Saints is Youth Hockey Day presented by Cardigan Mountain School. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be available to stream on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet.
