HANOVER, N.H. — Playing its final match of the 2024 season, the Dartmouth men's tennis team earned the doubles point and looked poised to finish on a high note, but ultimately dropped a 4-3 decision to Penn on Sunday afternoon at Thompson Outdoor Courts.

Miles Groom and
Waleed Qadir clinched the doubles point on Court 3 after
Alex Knox-Jones and
Henry Ren notched a victory of their own at the No. 1 spot. Trailing 1-0 entering singles, the Quakers would tie the match at 3-3 and turn all eyes to Court 3, where
Miles Groom and Baylor Sai were squaring off in one of three matches that went the distance. Sai earned the victory to clinch it for Penn.

Yujiro Onuma earned a straight-sets victory over Matthew Rutter at No. 4 singles and
Carlos Guerrero Alvarez defeated Kian Vakili in a three-setter on Court 2.

Following the match, the Big Green honored seniors
Logan Chang and
Alejandro Quiles. Both served as captains during their respective careers.

The loss to Penn marks the end of the 2024 season, the Big Green's first under John Kenfield and Chuck Kinyon Head Coach
