WORCESTER, MASS. – The Dartmouth men's lightweight rowing team has qualified for the IRA Nationals after making the grand final on Sunday at the Eastern Sprints Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond.
The Big Green made the grand final for the first time since 2017 to automatically qualify for nationals. Beating Cornell for the first time in a decade, and finishing fourth overall, the Big Green had a tremendous day on the water. The second varsity won its petite final, beating Navy and Georgetown.
"It's a great day for our program. It's a testament to the guys for making the next step," Head Coach Trevor Michelson said.
Next up for the Big Green is the IRA National Championship Regatta from May 31 through June 2 in Princeton, New Jersey.
