WORCESTER, MASS. – The Dartmouth men's lightweight rowing team has qualified for the IRA Nationals after making the grand final on Sunday at the Eastern Sprints Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond.Â
Â
The Big Green made the grand final for the first time since 2017 to automatically qualify for nationals. Beating Cornell for the first time in a decade, and finishing fourth overall, the Big Green had a tremendous day on the water. The second varsity won its petite final, beating Navy and Georgetown.Â
Â
"It's a great day for our program. It's a testament to the guys for making the next step," Head Coach Trevor Michelson said.
Â
Next up for the Big Green is the IRA National Championship Regatta from May 31 through June 2 in Princeton, New Jersey.Â
