HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team earned multiple All-Ivy honors, highlighted by
Elizabeth Fahrmeier's and
Lexi Dewire's First Team doubles selection, on Thursday afternoon as the conference's postseason awards were announced.
Peyton Capuano earned a second team singles accolade, and Dewire was the Big Green's Academic All-Ivy honoree.
Dewire and Fahrmeier compiled a 9-5 record at No. 1 doubles and finished the season on a six-match win streak to put together an Ivy League-best 6-1 mark. The duo was a key factor in the Big Green claiming the doubles point in the majority of their conference matches. They're the first Dartmouth pair to receive First Team All-Ivy status since Julia Schroeder and Abigail Chiu in 2018.
Capuano, who starred at No. 1 singles during her freshman campaign, takes home a second team singles honor after recording an 8-7 record, including back-to-back victories at one point during Ivy League play. It took seven matches for Capuano to suffer her first loss as she enjoyed a 4-0 start to the 2024 season, including a win over Ivy League Player of the Year Esha Velaga of Penn during the ECAC Championship.
Dewire, a senior engineering sciences major, was named to the Academic All-Ivy Team, which highlights juniors and seniors who made significant contributions to their respective teams while maintaining good academic standing.
