STORRS, Conn. – The Dartmouth women's volleyball team fell to an undefeated University of Connecticut, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon from the UConn Volleyball Center. The Big Green close out the weekend in Storrs 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SET ONE:
- UConn opened a 10-5 lead and held on to that lead the majority of the set.
- The Big Green went on a 6-2 run to even the score at 19-19, forcing a UConn timeout.
- Dartmouth outscored the Huskies 7-2 in the final points of the set off kills from Kauany Gutz, Ava Roberts and Kensington TeKrony, taking it 27-25.
SET TWO:
- The Huskies scored the first point in the set off an ace and never looked back.
- UConn led the whole way and won the set, 25-16.
SET THREE:
- Dartmouth opened the set to a 3-1 lead, but UConn quickly jumped ahead and ran with it.
- Back-to-back blocks by Maddie LaFata and TeKrony brought the Big Green back within one, 11-10 UConn.
- The Huskies persisted and won the set, 25-18.
SET FOUR:
- UConn gave themselves a 12-5 lead in the fourth set.
- The Big Green went on a 4-0 run to close the gap, but UConn persisted, winning the set 25-14.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Gutz led the team with 16 kills.
- Piper Stevens had 15 digs for Dartmouth and Emma Engstrom was right behind with 13.
- TeKrony had four blocks for the Big Green, a career high.
