CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – Ava Roberts recorded a season high 14 kills as the Dartmouth women's volleyball team fell to Harvard, 3-1, on Friday night from Malkin Athletic Center in the Ivy League conference opener.
Karen Murphy recorded a double double with 12 digs and 20 assists.
SET BREAKDOWN:
25-18, Harvard; 25-17, Harvard; 25-23 Dartmouth; 26-14, Harvard
The Big Green fall to 7-3 (0-1 Ivy League) and Harvard improves to 6-4 (1-0 Ivy League).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SET ONE:
- The Crimson scored the first point of the set and led the rest of the way.
- Faced with set point, a kill from Kauany Gutz kept it alive but Harvard was able to close out the set, 25-18.
SET TWO:
- The set was even with the score 13-11, Harvard.
- The Crimson opened up their lead after a 9-2 run, 22-13.
- A 4-1 run by Dartmouth allowed the Big Green to close the gap slightly but Harvard took the set, 25-17.
SET THREE:
- The third set began with a 5-1 run by Dartmouth, forcing a Harvard timeout.
- With the Big Green winning 20-15, Harvard scored four unanswered to make the Dartmouth lead 20-19.
- Harvard was able to tie the set, 21-21 but a kill from Roberts sealed the deal for the Big Green, 25-23.
SET FOUR:
- Dartmouth led the first half of the set, 15-11. Four unanswered from the Crimson tied it 15-15.
- The rest of the set saw five ties until the score was 22-22.
- Harvard brought the set to 25-24 and eventually won the set, 26-24.
