PROVIDENCE, R.I – 
Brandon Mitchell-Day put up 23 points and grabbed a career high 20 rebounds for the Big Green as the Dartmouth men's basketball team completed a comeback 84-83 victory after being down 12 at halftime to Brown on Saturday afternoon from Providence.
 
Mitchell-Day shot 8-15 from the field, 1-1 from three and 6-6 from the charity stripe. 
Ryan Cornish added a game high 25 points in the contest shooting 8-19 from the field, 4-4 from beyond the arc and 5-6 from the free throw line. 
Connor Amundsen added 14 points and contributed to a clutch defensive stop at the end of the game to help secure the win.
The Big Green's record improves to 8-9 (2-2 Ivy League) and Brown's falls to 9-8 (1-3 Ivy League).

	- The Big Green are back on the hardwood when they travel to Cornell to take on the Big Red on Friday, Jan. 31 with a 7 p.m. tipoff.     
FIRST HALF: 
	- Jackson Munro kicked things off for the Big Green with a tough basket underneath and a block on the other end. The block fueled a 13-0 run for Dartmouth, giving them a 13-3 lead just 3:22 in.
- Brown later responded with nine of their own and closed the gap to three, 15-12 Dartmouth. Two three-pointers from AJ Lesburt Jr. put the Bears ahead, 18-17 with 12:06 remaining.
- The Bears controlled the ball the rest of the half, extending to a 43-30 lead with 5:15 left.
- Back-to-back threes from Romeo Myrthil and Jayden Williams brought the Big Green within 10 but the Bears outscored the Big Green to take a 52-40 lead into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
	- Amundsen and Mitchell-Day drained consecutive three-pointers to cut the Bears lead to seven, 50-57 going into the first media timeout of the half.
- The six points extended to a massive 19-0 run by the Big Green, coming back from a 12-point deficit at halftime and taking a 63-57 lead with 12:44 left.
- With just over 10 minutes remaining, the Bears crept back and brought the score to 63-62 but consecutive threes from Cornish put the Big Green back ahead, 69-62.
- Six points from the Bears allowed them to regain the lead, 83-80 with 1:41 left.
- A defensive rebound by Cornish and a driving layup on the other end brought Dartmouth within one, 83-82, with just under a minute to go. Two free throws from Cornish and great defense from Amundsen in the final seconds of the game gave the Big Green the victory, 84-83.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
	- Dartmouth combined for 46% from the field and 57% from three.
- The Big Green outrebounded Brown 41-38.
- Dartmouth outscored Brown in points in the paint 34-16.
- During the team's second half run, the Big Green held Brown from scoring for 5:39, while scoring 19 points.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
	- Mitchell-Day is only the fifth player in the NCAA to record a 20-20 double double this season. He is also the only player in the nation this season with a 20-20 double double on the road.
- In addition, Mitchell-Day's 23 points are the highest scored in a 20-20 double double by any player against a D1 opponent this season.
- The 20 rebounds are the most of any Ivy player since 2022.
- Mitchell-Day is the first Ivy League player to post a 20-20 double-double since January of 2012 (Greg Mangano of Yale against St. Joseph's of Long Island). He's also the first to post a 20-20 double-double against a Division I opponent since the turn of the century.
- Cornish's 25 points are a season high.
