HANOVER, N.H. – On Tuesday, ECAC Hockey announced their weekly award winners, honoring first-year goaltender Michaela Hesová with the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week honor.
This is Hesová's first weekly award with the Big Green.
This past week, Hesová started all three of Dartmouth's games, helping the Big Green go undefeated with a 2-0-1 record, including leading the team to their first win of the season and first ECAC Hockey win.
In Monday's 2-1 win over UNH, Hesová stopped 15 of the 16 shots she faced. On Friday, the Big Green defeated Harvard in overtime for their first conference win of the season, a game in which Hesová made 23 saves.
At Thompson Arena on Saturday, Hesová made 23 saves through overtime and shootout, stopping all three Harvard skaters in the shootout.
On the week, Hesová made 61 total saves, posting a .938 save percentage and a 1.33 goals against average.
