PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth men's soccer traveled to New Jersey Saturday, facing the #5 Princeton Tigers in its final regular season road game. The Tigers got one goal in the first half and it proved to be enough, defeating Dartmouth 1-0.
With the loss, the Big Green fall to 3-7-3 overall and 2-4 in Ivy League play.
Princeton dominated Saturday's match, outshooting the Big Green 22-8 and placing eight total shots on goal to the Big Green's one.
The Tigers put two shots on goal in the first half and
Konstantinos Dellas was able to make one save for the Big Green. Princeton got on the board in the 38
th minute, opening the scoring to take 1-0 lead.
Dellas stood tall in the second half for the Big Green, stopping all six shots that came his way to keep his team in the game. Dartmouth was unable to find the equalizer, as the Tigers went on to remain undefeated in conference play and beat the Big Green.
With one game to play in the regular season, the Big Green are currently in fifth place, one point behind Brown, looking for their first berth in the Ivy League tournament since it began in 2023.
Dartmouth will take on the Harvard Crimson in its final regular season next Saturday, November 8 at Burnham Field. Saturday will also be Senior Day, as the Big Green will honor the seven members of the Class of 2026.
