HANOVER, N.H. – Ola Goebel and Stephanie Lathrop earned All-ECAC honors, as announced by the organization on Friday.
To qualify for All-ECAC honors, student-athletes in the region must have earned a first team spot in their respective conferences. Goebel and Lathrop each earned All-Tournament nods following their Ivy League Championship victory.
Goebel, who was named to the All-ECAC First Team, had an outstanding regular season for Dartmouth, making her collegiate debut and leading the league in shutouts per game (6) and goals against average (0.421). Additionally, Goebel led Dartmouth to finish third in the country in goals against average (.526) and fifth in shutout percentage (.632).
Lathrop, who was named to the All-ECAC Second Team, scored the game-deciding goals in back-to-back Ivy League Tournament matches. In the semifinal against Columbia, Lathrop scored the winning goal thanks to an assist by
Lourdes Lauterborn. In the final against Princeton, the sophomore forward fired off a penalty kick, finding the back right pocket of the net and earning Dartmouth its first Ivy League Tournament Championship title in program history. With her performance throughout the tournament, Lathrop was named the Ivy League's Most Outstanding Player.
