OAKLAND, Mich. — The Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team impressed at the Golden Grizzly Classic this past week and weekend, hosted by Oakland University, as the Big Green took first place with 1,940 points. Program records, top 10 all-time finishes, NCAA Zone Cuts and more were abundant in a historic performance for the Big Green.
Dartmouth finished ahead of Grand Canyon (1,776 points), Oakland (1,767), Eastern Michigan (1,471) and Wayne State (695).
"It was very exciting to see our women step up to compete with some very strong teams this week and to ultimately walk away with victory," said head coach
Milana Socha. "This was our strongest mid-season invite performance as a team yet, which bodes really well for what is still to come this season from these women. It took a full team effort to walk away victorious — divers and swimmers, top point scorers to those who touched out competitors to make the C-final, relentless energy on deck to being fierce in the pool. The way forward is clear and I'm excited to see the women keep building from here!"
