HANOVER, N.H. – The NCAA announced the official field for the 2025 Skiing Championship Tuesday, where 12 members of the Big Green qualified.
Benny Brown,
Dan Gillis, and
Oscar Zimmer qualified on the men's alpine side while
Carly Elsinger,
Izzy Washburn, and
Zoe Zimmermann are the women's alpine representatives.
This is the first NCAA Championship appearance for Brown and Washburn. Brown earned five podiums on the Giant Slalom this season, including winning the Dartmouth Carnival for his first EISA win.
Zimmermann will compete in back-to-back national championships after earning All-American status on the Slalom last year in Steamboat.
Zimmer and Elsinger will compete in their third national championship while Gillis will make his second appearance.
On the Nordic side,
Luke Allan,
Cooper Camp,
John Steel Hagenbuch,
Jasmine Drolet,
Nina Seemann, and
Ava Thurston will represent the Big Green.
Hagenbuch and Drolet will look to defend their individual national championship titles from last season in the 7.5K and 20K respectively. Both Hagenbuch and Drolet will compete in their third national championship.
Camp will compete in his first National Championship while Seemann will compete in her second NCAA Championships next week. Seemann's best weekend of the season came two weekends ago at UNH where she earned her two podiums of the season, including helping the Big Green to a podium sweep in the 7.5K.
Allan will compete in his fourth straight NCAA championship while Thurston will appear in her third straight.
Racing will begin with the men's and women's slalom on Wednesday, March 5. The first women's run is set for 8:30 a.m. and the men will follow.
Thursday will feature the men's and women's 7.5K Classic individual start at Oak Hill. The women will race at 10 a.m. followed by the men at 12 p.m.
Alpine racing will continue and conclude on Friday with the Giant Slalom where the women will do their first run at 9:30 a.m. followed by the men's first run at 10:25 a.m. The women's second run will get underway at 12:30 p.m. followed by the men's final run at 1:25 p.m.
The 2025 National Championships will conclude on Saturday with the 20K Freestyle mass start. The men will kick off at 10 a.m. followed by the women at 12 p.m.
