HANOVER, N.H. – On Monday, the Ivy League announced its weekly award winners, naming
Ethan Brown Player of the Week.
Brown was electric at the plate this weekend, batting .500 (5-for-10) with four RBI, three runs scored, and one walk.
In Friday's 8-7 win over Penn, the Big Green's first win of the season, Brown led the way offensively, hitting 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. He doubled to give the Big Green the lead early and later hit a solo home run.
In the second game of the doubleheader, Brown went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. His home run in the 5-2 victory proved to be the winning run for the Big Green. All four of Brown's hits on Friday were for extra bases, two home runs and two doubles.
He went 1-for-3 with a walk in Dartmouth and Penn's series finale. Brown now leads the team in all major offensive categories: batting average (.368), OPS (1.061), runs (11), hits (21), doubles (6), home runs (3), and RBI (8).
