Sailing Competes in Two Regattas in Sixth Weekend of Spring Season

This past weekend, the Big Green took to the water for two regattas, the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl and the Reed Trophy.
At the open race, Chase Decker, Phoebe Lee, Ben Sheppard and Vivian Heitkoetter finished 11th overall, posting 120 points in the A Division and 118 points in the B Division.
The Big Green collected four top-10 A Division race finishes, their highest being third place in the eleventh race.
In the B Division, Dartmouth earned eight top 10 finishing positions, including fourth place in the fourth race.
At the Reed Trophy hosted by Yale, Olivia Drulard, Sudi Zhao, Ava Hurwitz and Sophie Menyhart sailed to a seventh-place overall finish. The A Division scored 17 points, the third lowest score, while the B Division posted 30 points for a combined 47.
All three A Division races were top ten finishes as Drulard and Zhao finished fourth, eighth, and fifth.
Two of Hurwitz and Menyhart's three races were also in the top ten as they collected 14th, sixth, and tenth place finishing positions.
The Big Green will return to action next weekend, heading to Brown for both the Open and Women's Team Race National Championships. The open race will be held from Thursday, April 24 to Saturday, April 26
