INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — On Tuesday evening, the NCAA announced the 22 teams that will participate in the NCAA Women's Rowing National Championship in West Windsor, N.J. starting on Friday, May 30. For the first time since 2011, Dartmouth earned an at-large bid for the NCAA National Championship. It will be the fifth time in program history that the team will appear at the event.
Â
The Big Green joined Yale, Princeton, Brown, Harvard and Penn as Ivy League teams in the 2025 NCAA Championship.
Â
"It is pretty surreal," said
John Graves, The Elizabeth C. McNabb Head Coach of Women's Rowing. "As a team, we felt like we were in a good position, but until you see your name up on the board, it's not real yet. All the emotions flew in once we saw Dartmouth pop up. Amazing moment."

Â
The Big Green are coming off a strong Ivy League Championship in which they finished fourth as a team, while the varsity eight also came in fourth overall with a time of 6:09.181. The 1V finish marked its best finish at Ivies since 2014. The second varsity eight boat came in fifth with a time of 6:24.566. The varsity four turned in a time of 7:12.181 while coming in fifth.
Â
Dartmouth recently earned a top 20 ranking for the first time since 2018 as the program continues its rise to the top of the Ivy League.
Â
"Overjoyed," said senior
Emma Hochberg. "It's such an amazing day for the program and it's the best possible way to imagine continuing our season. I feel so grateful to be part of the team at this time. To be a senior and get to witness the rise and be an active part of it is really amazing. I don't really have the words to express."
