CAMDEN, N.J. – Dartmouth's men's heavyweight varsity eight finished second in its semifinal to advance to Sunday's grand final, highlighting Saturday's action at the Cooper River. The Big Green will compete in the grand final on Sunday afternoon.

In a narrow semifinal, Washington captured first with a time of 5:24.800, with Dartmouth just 0.79 seconds behind (5:25.590). The Big Green were less than a second ahead of Brown (5:25.980) and Yale (5:26.480), with the Bears earning the final qualifying spot into the grand final and Bulldogs forced to row in the B final.

The Big Green fell short of the grand final in the second and third varsity eights, finishing sixth (5:41.400) and fourth (5:42.480). Both boats will race in their B finals on Sunday.

To cap off the day, the varsity four finished fifth in its B final, posting a time of 6:29.830.

Action wraps up at the IRA National Championship on Sunday, with the third varsity eight B final set for 9:30 a.m., 2V B final on tap for 11:00 a.m. and varsity eight grand final at 12:10 p.m.
