Heavyweight has 17 Named Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes

HANOVER, N.H. – On Wednesday, the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRCA) announced its Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes, recognizing 17 members of the Big Green's Heavyweight Rowing team.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, compete in a top three boat or at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship, and have a minimum 3.50 grade point average during the fall semester.

Dartmouth had 17 members named scholar athletes this year after an impressive 2026 championship season. The Big Green finished sixth at IRAs and earned a fifth-place Varsity 8 finish. The team's sixth place finish was their best at the national championship since 2022.
